About the event
Centuries ago the heavens were modeled in a pop-up book associated with Galileo. Beyond rare, none of those will be present on Nerd Night. Flap books that invited the reader to lift the flap for an image became fairly common in the last few centuries. The 20th century saw the rise of the widespread pop-up book and we will trace the development in the early 20th century from simple to very elaborate specimens.
